Undrawn
Android · Exploration map

Your map starts undrawn. Every outing fills it in.

Undrawn covers your map in fog and reveals the ground you actually cover, in small hexagon cells. Ground revealed today shows red. Seas, lakes and rivers stay visible, so the map still reads as a map.

FIG 0.1 · Progress

Progress, without the leaderboard.

Progress shows new ground and outings, day by day. A map-free weekly share card lets you show a good week without showing where you live.

  • Ground revealed today is counted, and shown in red.
  • Walking, cycling and transport all count. An On foot mode is available.
  • Each outing keeps its own small outline, so a good loop is easy to find again.

FIG 0.2 · Settings

Set it once. Put the phone away.

Recording keeps going with the screen locked. Android and GPS can still interrupt an outing, so Settings shows recording status and the last fix at a glance.

  • Progress stays on the phone. No account, no ads, no third-party trackers.
  • Optional backup is encrypted on the phone before upload.
  • Choose what counts: all travel, or on foot only.

Table 1 · Specification

Everything it does, and nothing it doesn't.

Each row is a plain statement about the current build. There is no pricing, no release date and no account. The page collects nothing.

FIG 0.4 · Cell

Small hexagon cells

Ground is revealed in small cells along your path, so a street clears as a street, not as a blob.

FIG 0.5 · Lock

Screen locked

Start recording and pocket the phone. Status and the last GPS fix are shown in Settings.

FIG 0.6 · Card

Map-free weekly card

Share a week's new ground and outings without a map, so nobody learns where you live.

Table 2 · Questions

Questions worth asking first.

Q1What stays private?

Exploration is stored on your phone. Optional backup encrypts progress on your phone before upload. Map providers receive your IP address and the map area you view; backup hosting processes connection metadata. Keep your recovery code private: it cannot be reset.

Q2What works offline?

Recording saves on your phone without a connection. Map areas you have not viewed before need a connection to load, and cloud backup needs one too.

Q3Where can I explore?

Public places you can safely access. The fog is not an access guide or a task to enter private land. The revealed footprint is approximate and may include water inside recorded cells.

Q4Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Undrawn launches on Android first.
